Why Oktober is My Favorite Month

I have been meaning to blog about Oktober 5 for a couple of weeks now. Well, he went and did something yesterday that pushed him to the front of my blogging schedule. He announced his 100 Squares for Christmas. It’s his way of saying Merry Christmas to his readers. I think this is one of the nicest ideas I have seen on the Net to date.
Why Oktober Stands Out
In my vast travels throughout the blog world for the last 2 years, I’ve seen and read a lot of interesting websites. I’ve found raw talent, polished perfection, and everything in between. (Not to mention the loads of pure, unadulterated crap, but that’s for another post.) Oktober lies somewhere in the Amazing category.
The funny thing is, that while Oktober’s posts are great, his comments are what get me the most. His wisdom, intelligence, and insight are staggering at times. We travel in some of the same blogging circles, and I always pause to reads anything under his name in a comment discussion.
As if being a talented writer is not enough, Oktober takes amazing pictures as well. I like visiting his site even when I’ve read all the posts, just to look at his art.
More, More!
He’s also the author of Bloggers Against Drunk Posting, an effort to cut back long, rambling posts in Blogopoilis. He writes on a Mac, most of the time (Yeah!). And, his wife comments on his blog (How sweet is that?). He’s a Writer Dad supporter, and has a wonderfully clean blog design to boot.
All positive traits in my book.
